FUMAPEST uses the safer, most effective products

Safety first: Recently a new range of pest control products have entered the marketplace, including hi-tech baits for the control of termites, cockroaches and ants. Although much safer to use in and around the home these products require a far higher level of skill to ensure an effective result.
For termite control Fumapest uses the safer and most effective products commercially available in Australia, such as Termidor and Premise termite soil treatment chemicals and the Nemesis termite baiting system. These products and various alternatives are discussed in detail in the Termite Control section of this website.

Termites attack 1 in 3 homes in the Macarthur region

Termites are a major worry: Recent industry surveys suggest that about one in three homes in the Macarthur region will suffer a termite infestation. To make matters worse your home insurance policy will NOT cover the damage which may involve costly replacement of structural timbers in the floor, wall and roof. Very expensive to replace.
termites can build a sub-nest in a wall cavity of a home Picture of a termite nest in a wall cavity - FUMAPEST Inspector, Michael DuBois examines a large above-ground termite nest built inside a wall cavity of a home.
Termites build such nests where moisture collects inside the wall cavity, from leaking pipes, shower recess, faulty guttering and down-pipes.

Your best protection is to arrange for a Termite Inspection and Report to Australian Standard 3660, including written specifications for a complete Termidor soil barrier treatment, where practicable, to protect your home. Prevention is better than cure.
Where live Termite activity is found Fumapest will install especially designed termite bait stations containing the Nemesis brand termite bait. We closely monitor at 2 to 3 weekly intervals the stations to assess bait consumption and replenish bait therein.
Nemesis termite bait contains an IGR insect growth regulator that prevents the worker termite from regrowing it's external skeleton after moulting. Worker termites ingesting the bait will feed partly digested timber and the bait to other termites in the central nest. Termites cannibalise other dead termites thereby hastening elimination of the entire colony ... more details.

Premise or Termidor - the best LONG TERM termite control solutions

Reliable 100% termite protection: The new hi-tech termite control products approved for use against termites in Australia and USA are Premise and Termidor. Both have been extensively tested in Australia and USA and if correctly applied to AS 3660 will provide reliable 100% termite protection in most situations.

Premise and Termidor are used for treatment of soil at the base of a building to prevent termite entry into the building, and by a delayed transfer effect can eliminate termite nests in and around the building. These products provide more than 5 years protection if applied correctly as a complete termite barrier to AS3660 ... more details.

Why it's important to know about termites

WARNING: Termite damage to a building can be severe and your home insurance does NOT cover the repair costs. Termites are known to destroy roofing and wall framing timbers within a few months in the Macarthur region.
